Fork & Hoe Farm began out of a love for food, nature and community. Nathan had been a chef but longed to learn about the production side of food. After a few seasons of apprenticeship, we started a small CSA using local backyards in 2014. We saw a need for regenerative local agriculture and specialty produce in the DC/MD/VA area, realizing that local, farm fresh food not only tastes better, it is better for the environment and connects communities in a deeper way. We did a local CSA in MD from 2014-2016 which included vegetables, fruit, chicken and pork all raised in the most natural and ecological ways possible and learned a ton about how to work with nature and our community. In early 2017 we moved to Hague, Virginia and started Fork and Hoe Farm.
